   Student acquires the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain an active life: movement, physical fitness, and nutrition

     I understand the Five Components of Fitness and how they will help me lead a healthy lifestyle.

Semester long review of the Five Components of Fitness and how they can be implemented.

   Student will effectively analyze personal information to develop an individualized health and fitness plan.

I can design a workout

Plan that will help me achieve my fitness goal/goals.

Student will be tested throughout the semester using the District selected Fitnessgram.

   Student will analyze and evaluate the impact of real-life influences on health

     I can determine my pulse, heart rate and workable target heart rate zone.

   During the semester students will learn how to calculate their target heart rate zone and how to take their pulse.
