It’s a new world with a new context for learning. We cannot replicate the experience in the classroom, but we can provide content and learning experiences in different ways. Shifting to a remote learning system while in the midst of a public health crisis is a great challenge for all of us.

We want to help students grow in meaningful ways and be ready for whatever the next stage of learning looks like. Our staff is creatively embracing this challenge. Please be patient with them as they embark on this journey with your students. Please help us by supporting your students as they engage in remote learning opportunities safely, responsibly, and respectfully. We also greatly appreciate your support in helping students find some structured time at home. We are all learners in this together!

What families and students should expect

April 13 - 17

Lessons & Schedule
- New grade-level online/video lessons created by Shoreline teachers will be posted on the Shoreline Remote Learning website
- A new schedule will be posted that outlines learning activities using Shoreline-created lessons and specific online resource
Student & Family Connections
- Each student/family will be contacted at least twice each week by their teacher
- Student and family connections shall include but are not limited to: broad (whole class/all-student) communications; class meetings; office hours; small groups; individual students (with pre-approval); and assignment explanation, completion and feedback cycle

April 20 - 24: Spring Break

Shoreline will follow our planned/calendered spring break. We will offer new grade-level online lessons during the scheduled spring break.

Lessons & Schedule

- An updated schedule will be posted that outlines learning activities using Shoreline-created lessons and specific online resource
Student & Family Connections
- Teachers will not be offering student and family connections this week

April 27 - May 1

Lessons & Schedule
- New grade-level online/video lessons created by Shoreline teachers will be posted on the Shoreline Remote Learning website
- An updated schedule will be posted that outlines learning activities using Shoreline-created lessons and specific online resource
Student & Family Connections
- Each student/family will be contacted at least twice each week by their teacher

May 4 - June 19

Beginning May 4, each school will have their own remote learning website in order to provide their own remote online lessons and to streamline communications for students and families.
Lessons & Schedule
- New grade-level online/video lessons created by each school's teachers will be posted on each school's new remote learning website
- Schools will share weekly learning plans

Student & Family Connections
- Each student/family will be contacted at least twice each week by their teacher
- Student and family connections shall include but are not limited to: broad (whole class/all-student) communications; class meetings; office hours; small groups; individual students (with pre-approval); and assignment explanation, completion and feedback cycle.
